dotherush is a small set of browser games that tell you how quick you are: reaction time, clicks per second, typing speed, aim and number memory, plus a page that measures your screen’s refresh rate.
Why it exists
Most speed tests online give you one number and leave you to guess what it means. We wanted tests that are quick to start, careful about timing, open about what your hardware adds, and pleasant on a phone as well as a desktop. Each test page explains how its score is calculated, what affects it and what published research says, with links to the sources.
How the timing works
Every test runs entirely in your browser. Clocks start on the screen refresh that actually shows a signal and stop on the moment your button, key or finger goes down, using the browser’s high-resolution timer. The refresh rate of your screen is measured while you play and shown beside each test.
What we deliberately left out
- Accounts and leaderboards. Public rankings attract fake scores and need your data on a server. Your history lives in your own browser instead.
- Health claims. These are games. They do not measure intelligence, diagnose anything or predict how you will do at work or school.
- Clutter. No pop-ups, no sign-up walls and no tracking scripts. The only analytics is Cloudflare’s cookie-free page counter, described in the privacy notice.
Text and fonts
The typing words and passages were written for this site and are released under CC0, so anyone may reuse them. Headings use the Saira typeface under the SIL Open Font License. Full details are in licenses.txt.
